Outlaying frame 11m | 5 stanchion base

The outlaying cover frame is perfectly suited for sailboats with a pushpit, pulpit, and guardrails. As the outer rim tubes keeps the tarpaulin away from the sides of the hull, it provides excellent ventilation and prevents the tarpaulin from rubbing against the hull.

The cover frame is adjustable in two directions:

• Height: using telescopic legs.
• Distance from the hull: using  telescopic rafter legs fitted to the stanchion base and the ridge tube.

Peg or hole?
Before making a purchase, please inspect the design of the mounting points for the stanchions on your boat’s deck. Some boats have solid mounts (appearing as a fixed, upright pin/peg), while others have mounts where the peg has a hole through it. All our Outlaying frames are compatible with deck fittings of the latter type, i.e., fittings with a hole. If your boat has solid pins, you will need to purchase these connecting tubes separately.

Advice
Always choose a frame that is longer than your boat. Note that the ridge tube should not extend more than 30cm beyond the boat in either the bow or stern. If necessary, you can cut the tube. There is a risk that the tarpaulin may break the protruding parts if they extend further than 30cm.
